Caring for your handmade jewelry

All jewelry requires maintenance, and handmade jewelry requires an elevated level of care to ensure longevity.  Our jewelry is carefully crafted and each piece possesses the unique and distinctive qualities of hand shaped work.

Remove your jewelry when applying perfumes, oils, lotions, or other self care products. This will help prevent tarnishing any metals, staining your concrete, and damaging the resin.

Remove before bathing, showering or swimming.

Make sure you handle your new jewelry gently.  Store your delicate adornments in a special bag or box to prevent exposure to sunlight or extreme heat.  

Resin

Resin is a material that can be scratched and damaged easily if not cared for properly. Resin can become pliable or soften if exposed to extreme heat.  Simply allow the piece to cool in a room temperature environment before handling or wearing again. Do not store your resin jewelry in direct sunlight as it may discolor.  

Concrete

While concrete is a strong resilient construction material, at small scales it is very delicate.  Handle your new handcrafted concrete gently and take care to not drop as it may chip or crack your jewelry. Concrete is porous and may absorb liquids that may alter the appearance and strength of the piece.

Gold Filled Chains

Increase the longevity of your chain by protecting it from caustic chemical materials.  Remove your jewelry if you plan to workout as your perspiration could cause the chain to darken.  Use a soft polishing cloth to wipe your chain after wearing.

Sterling Silver Chains

Sterling silver naturally oxidizes. The best way to prevent your silver from tarnishing is to wear it. If your silver tarnishes, gently rub a small amount of jewelry cleaner onto your jewelry with a soft cloth. Rinse the silver parts with warm water and gently dry.
